Dear Friends,

The past few months have been a time of upheaval for all of us. Yet, as always, jewelry-making remains our language—a medium through which we express, process, and connect.

The new issue of Litushim is dedicated to memory—an attempt to capture those fleeting moments and deep processes in which creation and material transcend their form, becoming vessels of symbolism, belonging, pain, and hope.

In this issue:

A Time for Remembrance: Miki Joelson reflects on “A Time for Remembrance”, an exhibition at the Israel Museum that intertwines tradition, art, and the collective reckoning with national rupture.

When the Lapel Becomes a Stage: Esther Knobel and Michal Oren explore how jewelry, pins, and emblems have evolved into a means of collective expression in a shifting reality.

Ominous Landscapes – Ephemeral Beauty: Einat Leader delves into the life and work of the late Attai Chen —an artist of rare vision—through an exhibition review and a conversation with his partner, Carina Shoshtary.

We invite you to read, reflect, and share.
